2755New Details Emerge on Washington D.C. Near-Miss Involving Flights and Army Helicopter
Republic Airways flight DL5825, operating an Embraer ERJ-170-100LR, and Delta flight DL1671, flying an Airbus A319-114, were on their final approach to Washington D.C.'s Ronald Reagan National Airport (KDCA) when air traffic control ordered them to initiate go-arounds. This was due to a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter (PAT23) approaching the Pentagon. Both flights safely landed approximately 10 minutes later.
