Flying an Empty Airbus A321neo from Greece to Sweden

After a bustling flight full of vacationers eager to start their holidays in Rhodes, Greece, we found ourselves with a unique task: flying an empty Airbus A321neo back to Sweden. Our mission? To position the aircraft for upcoming flights from Borlänge, a small airport in the heart of Sweden.

This return journey was not just a routine repositioning flight but a fascinating experience, showcasing the intricacies and challenges of operating in varied environments. Departing from the sun-drenched island of Rhodes, the contrast was stark as we prepared for our first-ever approach to Borlänge Airport, a location unfamiliar to our crew.

As we descended into Borlänge, we were met with a low ceiling, adding a layer of complexity to the landing. The limited visibility required precise navigation and highlighted the skill and expertise needed to operate in less-than-ideal conditions safely. Despite these challenges, our approach was smooth, and we touched down without incident, ready to serve passengers eager to embark on their journeys from this small Swedish airport.
