Delta Air Lines flight DL194 Diverted After Passenger Reportedly Has 'Diarrhea All The Way Through The Airplane'

Delta Air Lines flight DL194 from Atlanta to Barcelona
Delta Air Lines flight DL194 from Atlanta (ATL) to Barcelona (BCN) on Friday (01) night was forced to turn around due to a passenger experiencing diarrhea. The Airbus A350 took off as scheduled on the evening (20:47 EDT) of September 1st, 2023, with 336 passengers on board but was compelled to return while flying over central Virginia.

The reason for the turnaround, as communicated by the pilot to air traffic control, was, "It's just a biohazard issue; we had a passenger who had diarrhea through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta."
